The Discovery Of Teaching

Writer's picture: Geoff DayGeoff Day

Part of learning a musical instrument or learning to sing happens together with the tutor.  When a pupil connects with a tutor, quite often they go on a journey of discovery. The tutor often learns new ways of teaching through the process of the lessons. As the pupil progresses and discovers where their strengths lie, together they move into new territory.

This benefits the pupil greatly. It ensures that the lessons stay fresh and imaginative.  As the tutor discovers new ways of teaching each pupil it opens up pathways for future learning.
